Travel risk assessments are becoming a necessity!

As the risks to personnel and staff travelling abroad increases – companies are being advised that the need for a travel risk assessment is becoming more important.

The risk to everyone travelling abroad was brought to the World’s attention after the downing of flight MH17, and companies the World over have had to review how staff travel and what measures are in place to ensure their safety. Duty-of-care legislation deems that companies my ensure the safety of their staff while working – and for many Global companies this means risk assessing travelling – and not only abroad, but also in the UK. There are many areas which one should not travel and also should beg the question whether lone working risk assessments should be updated too.
